The company said it expects to have all of its customers back up and running within 48 hours.
Verizon’s outage was the worst of any US company so far this year, according to The New York Times.
Comcast also said it will temporarily suspend its customers’ internet access, as it continues to work on an internal network upgrade.
Comcast said it has been working with the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to ensure the nation’s infrastructure can handle the continued power outage.
Comcast’s outage is a result of a massive power failure, and the company is working with regulators to fix it, the company said.
Verizon and Comcast have been dealing with major power outages across the US.
In Washington, DC, the outage hit a school and caused widespread power outage.
More than 70,000 homes were without power and more than 40,000 were without cell service.
A man in Washington, D.C., was hospitalized after experiencing the power outage at his home.
In California, at least one person was reported dead and several people were transported to hospitals after being hit by lightning.
At least six people have been killed and more are being treated for severe injuries after the power outAGES in the nation of 25 million was reported in several states.
At the same time, more than 50,000 people have lost power in Colorado, Oregon, New York, Washington, Vermont, Montana, Texas and Washington D.c., according to the US Energy Department.
It’s unclear if any of those people were directly affected by the outage.
AT&T reported an outage in Texas and New York that caused widespread outages.
Verizon said it had issues with the grid in its Denver and Atlanta metro areas.
