How to get Comcast to let you download the internet for free
Comcast Internet customers are struggling to get their broadband plans renewed.
The internet service provider, which provides internet access to about 90 million Americans, announced on Wednesday that it is suspending its network-recovery program after about 50,000 customers experienced network outages.
It said it will restart its service on Thursday, after its own network repairs.
“As the Comcast network continues to perform well, we have taken several actions to mitigate the impacts of network failures, including deploying additional capacity in our network, increasing our capacity on our network to restore capacity, and making additional changes to our network,” the company said in a statement.
“Comcast Internet customers who have experienced network disruptions will have the option to receive an unlimited broadband service on a new, fixed-price plan, which will provide customers with unlimited internet access.”
The company said customers with internet-related disruptions can expect a new activation offer on Thursday that includes a 30-day grace period.
The program, which is currently available for the Comcast Xfinity Internet, will continue to be offered until March 30.
