Roma coach wants to sign AC Milan’s Roberto Carlos
Roma coach Mauro Icardi has said he wants to make a move for AC Milan star Roberto Carlos.
Speaking to reporters at the end of his first pre-season training session, the Italian told reporters that he is looking to sign the former Liverpool, Arsenal and Roma man, who has reportedly been linked with a move to AC Milan.
“He is a fantastic player.
I want to sign him.
I think he can be a very good player for us,” Icardio said.”
I think that he will have a big future.
I know that he loves football and I think that we will see him in the future, especially as he has a great character.”
Icardio added that he wanted to sign Carlos, who is under contract with the Rossoneri until 2019, as well as Andrea Ranocchia, who will become Milan’s second signing of the summer.
“It is true that I think Carlos will go on to be an amazing player.
He is a really great player.
We need to be patient and wait for him to be available.
That is the reason why we are waiting for him.”
Milan are expected to sign former Roma star Roberto Rosales in the coming days.
